• Engaged in a capstone project to improve the predictive models for Rocky Reach and Rock Island dams.
• Tasked with improving the predictive models for dam water levels to optimize operations and respond to electricity demand and weather changes.
• Analyzed over 2.6 million data points across multiple years; conducted feature engineering, standardization, PCA for dimensionality reduction, and Time Series Analysis.
• Developed models that significantly outperformed traditional inflow calculations, achieving an R-squared value of 0.9959 with a 20-component PCA for Rocky Reach and 0.9974 for Rock Island Dam.
• Responsibilities include leading the team, extensive coding, model development, data analysis, and collaborating with the PUD staff.- Engaged in a capstone project to improve the predictive models for Rocky Reach and Rock Island dams.
